This year's selection is Lisa Brown, an artist with a lengthy family relationship to Farm Neck. Lisa's father, Philip sat on the Board of Directors for a number of years since Farm Neck's inception in 1979; her sister Suzy was the first tennis pro; brother Barry, assisted by Lisa, also kept watch over the courts for several seasons after Suzy's departure. Today, Lisa is an accomplished professional photographer who lends her numerous talents to projects ranging from corporate assignments to her own private exhibitions.

For this year's Membership Book, Lisa chose the innovative medium of Polaroid transfers to render the singular Farm Neck landscape. "Polaroid transfer is just as it sounds," she says. "A Polaroid negative is pressed onto watercolor paper and the photographic image is transferred onto the paper. No two are alike." Lisa's photography sessions at Farm Neck, sandwiched around an assignment at the 1995 British Open, reveal both a beauty and a resolute, timeless quality to her surroundings. "Being on a golf course seems to transcend time," Lisa says. "And Farm Neck's time and history is quite unique."
