Our Beginning...

Forty Two years ago our simple hope was to save a pristine corner of Martha's Vineyard from over-development and create a first class, non-exclusive golf setting for all to enjoy. The actual design of Farm Neck was a collaboration of three architects, Geoffrey Cornish, Bill Robinson and Patrick Mulligan. When built, the course was carved into a beautiful peninsula or “Neck” of farmland on the eastern edge of the Island abutting Vineyard Sound. As you play, you will find yourself traversing a striking variation of topography and vegetation – everything from woodlands, to open meadows, to salt marshes, to stunning overlooks and intimate brushes with the ocean’s edge. Along with its intrinsic beauty, Farm Neck enjoys a widespread reputation for championship caliber golf. Farm Neck has continually earned a 4 1⁄2 out of 5 star rating in Golf Digest’s “Places to Play,” and is considered by many to be one of the premiere golfing experiences in the Northeast, “A true test of golf in an idyllic setting.”

Martha's Vineyard

Sitting just south of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard has drawn seasonal vacationers for decades with its laid-back elegance and idyllic summer weather. The island, the largest off Massachusetts’ coast, is only accessible by boat or air and offers all the picturesque charms of a New England whaling town with eye-catching architecture, like the whimsical gingerbread houses and the classic lighthouses. Ditch your car and grab a ferry to travel to Martha’s Vineyard for a summer indulging in its gorgeous sandy beaches, sailboat-dotted blue surf, upscale boutiques, and the general sense of relaxation the island offers.
