Each year Farm Neck invites a different Island artist to illustrate the Membership Book, bringing his or her personal vision of Farm Neck to the year-long project. In years past we've seen oil paintings, block prints, photographs, pen and ink, watercolors and even caricatures.
This year's artist is Scott Terry, who has lived on Martha's Vineyard since 1978. His education in the arts has ranged from undergraduate study in medical illustration to BFA degrees in painting and printmaking In addition, he has spent several years studying traditional painting and printmaking techniques in Central and Southeast Asia. Scott divides his time between painting and operating a charter fishing business on the Island. His paintings and pastels are shown at the Granary Gallery in West Tisbury, as well as in various galleries across the country.
